Role Overview As a Registered Nurse at Genesys Health System, you will utilize your independent professional judgment and analytical skills to provide a full range of nursing services to patients.
You will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring a focus on clinical competence, compassion, and cost-consciousness. Coordinate the development of a multi-disciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay and resource utilization. Provide patient care that respects individual rights, dignity, values, and cultural preferences. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, safety measures, and self-care, ensuring effective communication and support.
Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures according to established guidelines. Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognizing and addressing acute changes in patient conditions. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth transitions and appropriate discharge planning.
What You Will Need Required Qualifications Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months of hire date. Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date. Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
