- 12-hour day shifts Osler 5 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital is a 10-bed unit caring for acute medicine telemetry patients with a variety of complex comorbid medical conditions. Specialty teams, such as infectious disease, wound care, oncology, palliative care, pain, and psychiatry are also consulted. - Coordinates the total scope of care for patients to achieve clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes.
- Provides evidence-based care. Assumes management functions including responsibility for employment activities, conducting performance reviews, facilitating training, and monitoring corrective action plans.
- Manages, mentors, and develops others to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.
- Works collaboratively with and provides leadership for a multidisciplinary team to optimize performance.
- Promotes and identifies quality improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) aligned with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Identifies methods to promote the cost-effective use of resources.
