✓Requirements
Licensure
✓RN currently licensed with the State of Oregon Board of Nursing.
Certifications
✓Current BLS Certification required through the American Heart Association, and must obtain ACLS and PALS through the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire and kept current henceforth.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
✓For RNs graduating within the last 12 months, or RNs that have not practiced in an acute care facility within the last 24 months, and have not previously completed a residency program will be required to complete the CMH-provided Nurse Residency program.
Qualifications
✓A thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures
✓knowledge and skills required to provide excellent patient care.
✓Basic computer skills.
✓Must be flexible as needs arise to acquire new skills and adapt to a changing environment.
✓Must possess assessment skills for all age groups.
✓Must read, write, and speak English.
✓Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
✓Ability to lift and transfer patients is required, usually with the assistance of co-workers.
✓Normal or corrected vision is required.
✓Normal or corrected hearing is necessary to distinguish differences in monitor alarms, heartbeats, and breathing.
✓Manual dexterity is required to operate equipment.
✓Subject to physical and emotional stress of work environment.
Acute care experience preferred.
