Licensure
✓Current unrestricted RN licensure to practice in the State of Michigan Medicine
Certifications
National specialty certification relevant to critical care or neonatal nursing (e.g., RNC-NIC, CCRN, C-ELBW). preferred
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). preferred
Qualifications
✓Minimum 1-year current neonatal intensive care RN experience, or
✓Minimum 2-years current pediatric inpatient RN experience, or
✓Minimum 3-years current critical care RN experience, or
✓Minimum 3-years current high-risk labor and delivery RN experience
✓Successful completion of a shadow experience within the clinical environment during the interview process.
✓Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to a rapidly changing clinical environment.
✓Exhibits a strong understanding of the complexities associated with caring for the neonatal patient population.
✓A shadow of the clinical environment is required as part of the interview process.
✓Experience managing patients requiring advanced respiratory support, including high-frequency ventilation.
Recent Level IV NICU nursing experience or experience caring for medically and surgically complex pediatric patients. preferred
ECMO training and experience, including neonatal ECMO. preferred
Critical care transport experience, including neonatal transport. preferred
Experience with complex vascular access, including PICC insertion and management. preferred
Experience in unit-based leadership roles, including charge nurse, unit-based committees, shared governance, or quality improvement initiatives. preferred
Proficiency with Epic, including Code Narrator documentation. preferred
