Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments, incorporating patient history, physical exams, diagnostic data, and patient input to develop nursing diagnoses and care goals. Collaborate with patients and families to create a care plan focused on their unique needs and preferences. Provide education on pre- and post-operative procedures, diagnostic testing, discharge planning, and preventive care.
Assess and adapt patient education strategies based on patient and family needs (age, culture, readiness to learn). Mentor new associates and act as a preceptor when needed. Engage in hospital governance and performance improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Qualifications Graduate of accredited nursing program Possess current RN licensure in the State of Iowa or compact state Maintain Current BLS Certification Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English Multicultural sensitivity required Apply Today!
