Middlesex Health is looking for compassionate, caring individuals to join our team. The Registered Nurse provides individualized care primarily for medical and telemetry patients with a co-occurring Substance Use Disorder (SUD).

Provide safe and comprehensive care to patients at various points in recovery Act as patient advocate Administer medications as ordered Monitor patient condition and provide appropriate interventions when necessary Contribute to building and maintaining a team oriented environment Encourage patient success and help to foster an environment of recovery Help facilitate safe discharge plans including aftercare when appropriate Effectively delegate to and supervise support staff Perform other duties as required Applies the nursing process with patients and families, integrating principles that reflect sensitivity to their age-specific/developmental needs, gender, culture, religion, psychosocial and socioeconomic backgrounds in order to provide evidence-based, holistic care in a manner that respects the worth and dignity of each individual.
Practices professional nursing as a registered nurse within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice and Code for Nurses.
A Registered Nurse licensed in the State of CT with a minimum of one year of nursing experience required. Bachelor's degree is nursing required.
