The Pediatric ED provides specialized emergency care for infants, children, and adolescents. This role is ideal for nurses passionate about pediatric care in a fast-paced, family-centered environment. Registered Nurse
Provide emergency care to pediatric patients Administer medications per policy Educate families on diagnosis and treatment plans Collaborate with pediatric specialists and care teams Coordinate care with ancillary services Serve as a patient and family advocate Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement Organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel Coordination of care provided by ancillary services Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care Serve as patient advocate and be responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses Registered Nurse Experience 3–5 years Clinical Experience (required) 1 year Emergency Nursing Experience (required) Registered Nurse Education & Credential Requirements Associate of Science in Nursing (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred) Licensed Registered Nurse (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) (required) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required) TNCC, NRP, ENPC (required) Certification Requirements ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED If you are interested in this full-time Registered Nurse position at Wolfson Children’s Hospital , please apply now!
