You’ll need
Licensure
✓Registered Nurse, State of CT
Certifications
✓Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
✓Additional certifications may be required in specific specialties
✓Must be able to effectively communicate information in English.
Education
✓Automatic enrollment into the Nurse Residency Program for all graduate RNs with less than one year of experience.
✓Completion of a formal Nursing program.
✓Associate’s degree in Nursing
Qualifications

✓Applies the principles and practices of nursing.
✓Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate patient care.
✓Works towards caring for a full patient assignment with expanding scope of responsibilities over time.
✓Basic knowledge of high reliability.
✓Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Uses communication skills to foster a healthy work environment and facilitate positive patient outcomes and experience.
✓Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families and co-workers.
✓Applies knowledge of care for age specific populations.
✓Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
✓Self-directed in clinical responsibilities.
✓Ability to manage and organize multiple clinical priorities.
✓Proficiency in basic computer skills and use of industry applications/programs. Ability to learn new technology and programs as advancements and changes are implemented.
