Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. Full-Time Day Shift. This is an acute, inpatient rehab unit providing care to patients with spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, post-cerebral vascular accidents, transplant, stroke and more.

The Rehabilitation Registered Nurse provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams.
Consistently provides safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education. Determines processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration.

BSN from an accredited school of nursing If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience. This position will consider RN's with LTC, Rehab, Home Health and Outpatient experience Certification: . BLS from American Heart Association (AHA)
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license RN Rehab
prior Inpatient or sub-acute Rehabilitation nursing or Medical/Surgical; Med/Surg Tele unit experience.
