✓Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
Certifications
✓The NRP provides guidance and support to new nurses starting their careers.
✓Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
✓Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
✓ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN’s require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
✓OB, NICU RN’s require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
✓Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS.
Education
✓New graduate RNs and RNs with less than 1 year of experience from date of licensure, accepting a position you are automatically enrolled in our yearlong nurse residency program.
✓Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Qualifications
✓New Grad or RN with less than 12 months experience.
✓Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) – Experienced RN
✓One year of RN experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse – Acute Care role.
✓Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women required.

About the role

The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit in Sanford is a 40 bed, locked unit that provides a 24 hour treatment program designed to provide care for adults ages 18-95 in acute psychiatric crisis. The multidisciplinary team treats individuals experiencing major mental illnesses and addiction related problems. The program includes voluntary and involuntary levels of care.
