- Hour Security Strong Physician and Administrative Support Growth and Development Opportunities How you’ll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice for behavioral health patients. Collaborates with the interprofessional team to support a safe, therapeutic environment and high-quality outcomes. Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs). Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call. What we’re looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include: Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. Handle With Care certification is required within 30 days of hire. At least 1 year of Behavioral Health/ Psych experience required.
