Licensure
✓Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations in which the facility operates.
Certifications
✓CPR certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
✓De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact
Education
✓Associate’s degree in nursing required.
Qualifications
✓Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
✓Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities
1-year experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
