Full Time, Night Sign-On Bonus Available! $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for New Graduate RNs $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for RNs with 1+ Years of Experience About the Unit — Medical 7W Medical 7W cares for adult patients with common diagnoses including cellulitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, chest pain, gastrointestinal issues, COPD exacerbations, and medically stable COVID patients. This unit helps build strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, acute medical care, and fast-paced patient management.
Overview Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy service standards.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing Nursing Diploma Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.
BSN preferred
Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting Physical Requirements Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties Why Mercy?
