Full – Time, Weekend Shift (36 Hours/Week) Two (2) 12-hour weekend shifts + one weekday shift 0630-1900. NO Call Required. Department Highlights:· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team· Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 75 surgeries/day· Level I Trauma Candidate performing high-acuity and intense surgical procedures capable of providing excellent clinical experience to the new hire.· Robotics, Complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases are the highlight of surgical offerings at THFWHere’s What You NeedEducation· Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred Experience· 1 Year Of Experience as a Registered Nurse or the completion of an RN residency program Required· Operating Room Experience Preferred· Neuro and Ortho Experience Preferred Licenses and Certifications· Current RN licensure Upon Hire Required· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required· ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of Hire RequiredWhat You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
