Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Ortho) - Full Time Nights Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time Nights – 7p-7a – rotating weekend and holidays Department Highlight: Our Orthopedic unit is a cohesive team environment that improves the quality of care for patients with joint replacement but may include ortho procedures with a variety of concurrent medical issues. This is the dept where the most effective improvements of patients are seen. Here’s what you need:
Nursing Diploma required or
Associate's Degree Nursing required
BSN (preferred)
1 Year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting required
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Pref And
ONC - Orthopedic Nurse Certified Upon Hire Pref

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
assesses the patient
plans the care of the patient
intervenes as appropriate
evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers Additional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse
