** UM BWMC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse II to join our 7 West Medical Surgical Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. **Responsibilities:** - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the 7 West Medical Surgical Unit in accordance with established standards and protocols. - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. - Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and intervene appropriately. - Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, adhering to hospital policies and procedures. - Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. - Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and clinical observations. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. - Adhere to infection control standards and promote patient safety at all times. - Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced nursing staff as needed.
