Job Overview Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Mental Health Float Pool department at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. The Mental Health Float Pool serves a wide spectrum of patients within the Behavioral Health department including children/adolescents, adults, and seniors.
This position will be working a 0.75 FTE (60 hours ever two weeks) on the night shift (7pm-7:30am). The shift length is 12 hours long and works every third weekend. As a Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Float Pool department, you will be responsible for: Utilizing a detailed process to assess the physical and mental health needs of the patient, which will provide a framework from which patient care is planned [knows disease processes, therapy, complications, expected outcomes for specific patient population(s)] Contributing to the development of an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with the inter-disciplinary team providing a comprehensive plan of care.
Administering medications according to a policy used for the management of behavioral patients with knowledge of actions, contraindications, side effects, and desired outcomes. Evaluating the effectiveness of the nursing interventions in meeting the identified emotional, psychological, and physical needs, making revisions based on these outcomes. Required
Current RN Licensure and BLS required. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
