Licensure
✓Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Certifications
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Qualifications
✓In UVA Health’s 60-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit , you will practice in a dynamic, high-acuity environment where critical thinking and collaboration are essential. As part of a leading academic medical center, you will care for neonates requiring complex medical and surgical interventions.
✓Deliver comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to critically ill neonates across a range of acuity levels
✓Partner closely with neonatologists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care plans
✓Utilize advanced technologies and evidence-based protocols to support optimal patient outcomes
✓Educate and support families through highly emotional and complex care journeys
✓Contribute to a fast-paced, highly specialized unit where clinical expertise and adaptability are essential
✓Engage in continuous learning within an academic setting that supports professional growth, research, and innovation
