You’ll need
Licensure
✓Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC.
✓Primary Source Verification (if applicable): Nursing- SC Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR): - or compact RN state licensing board.
Certifications
✓certification in post-anesthesia nursing preferred (PACU) Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
Certification in operating room nursing preferred (OR)
Education
✓BSN from an accredited school or college of nursing. Teammates hired or transferred into this role before July 1, 2022 without a BSN are considered “grandfathered”, but must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing.
Qualifications
✓At least 2 years in operating room nursing or 4 years in operating room surgical technology or sterile processing. Demonstrated working knowledge of specialty being coordinated.
✓Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to provide patient care.
✓Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
✓Skill in preparing and maintaining effective working relationships.
✓Ability to communicate clearly.
✓Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment.
✓Contacts: Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors.
