✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Valid nursing license from the state of practice (required)
✓Meets education provisions required to obtain RCIS through CCI and SC Board of Medical Examiners and has already received those credentials.
✓Must maintain active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Registration with the SC Board of Medical Examiners
Certifications
✓RN Certifications
✓BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations
✓RCIS Education
✓RCIS Experience: Minimum amount of experience to get required licensure/certifications/registrations outlined below is required.
✓Must maintain active RCIS certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
✓Must maintain active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider.
✓In addition to the above, RTs must also be registered in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
Education
✓Associate of Nursing, nursing (required)
✓Diploma in Nursing (required)
✓Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular science, or
✓Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology (RT), or
Bachelors of Science, nursing (preferred)

✓Nursing judgment and skill based on principles of the biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciences
✓Application of the nursing process in patient care delivery
