Develops and reassesses plan of care for each patient (including nursing assessment, establishment of goals, initiating standards of care and outcomes management) based on patient care standards. Initiates cardiac teaching with inpatients and outpatients, involving family members and significant others. Documents patient teaching activities.
Conducts cardiopulmonary rehabilitation exercise sessions. Assists in the development of individual patient's exercise prescriptions. Keeps physicians informed about patients' progress.
Demonstrates proficiency in use of all equipment, including exercise, oxygen and oximetry. Ensures personal and departmental safety. Expands knowledge base of cardiology / cardiopulmonary rehab through ongoing education.
Assists with ongoing Quality Improvement processes. Responds to staffing needs in other patient care areas as directed. Qualifications Current Missouri RN license and 1 year experience as an RN
