This unit is a 35-bed unit in the Hamon Tower. We specialize in the care of cardiovascular surgical patients, thoracic surgical patients, vascular surgical patients, Cath lab patients, heart failure patients, pacemakers, and all cardiac conditions. This unit is a high acuity telemetry unit that signifies a reduced nurse to patient ratio.

We have self-scheduling which helps with the work/life balance as well. Our patient ratio is 4:1-5:1, depending on acuity levels Education Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref Experience 1 Year experience as a Registered Nurse Req Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req And BCMSN - Board Certified Medical-Surgical Nurse Upon Hire Pref Or CRRN - Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse Upon Hire Pref Or PCCN - Progressive Care Nurse Certified Upon Hire Pref Skills A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
