R egistered Nurse (RN) – PCU – Full-time, 7A Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are better + together Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132 Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7a – 7p shift Department Highlights 36 bed PCU Department; Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:4 depending on acuity Patient population: intermediate /telemetry level of care for the post-acute stroke, general medical, endocrine GI/renal patient population MAGNET facility Level III Trauma Center Primary Stroke center Stroke/Neuro designated unit Enjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance.

Excellent opportunities for educational and career growth including advancement opportunities in leadership Here’s what you need Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – within 90 days of hire CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire NIHSS – within 90 days of hire 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required PCU/Tele and Med/Surg experience preferred In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate

• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
