As a Registered Nurse within the Post Intensive Care Unit III at RWJ University Hospital New Brunswick, you will help advance patient care and strengthen the experience of individuals and families across our organization. Post Intensive Care Unit III is also known as the Respiratory Care Unit. It is comprised of 19 beds each with a bedside monitor and the capability for step down ICU/progressive care. We care for a vast array of medical patients including ALS, chronic ventilator patients, pneumonia, alcohol withdrawal.

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire. ACLS Certification is preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Prior 1-2 years of RN experience within acute care is highly preferred and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.
This position offers a Part-Time Night Shift schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday – Friday with weekend and holiday rotations, 36 hours per week, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
