Departmental Overview Compensation / Benefits $31.31 - $51.14/hr. based on previous work experience. Flex differential $12.50/hr. Evening differential $2.50/hr.
Night differential $3.00/hr. Weekend differential $3.00/hr. The Flex Pool is made up of an adaptable and dynamic team of employees that is able to work in multiple service lines at all four NRHS campuses. These include medical and cardiac intensive care units, medical and cardiac step down units, med/surg, ortho/neuro, oncology, and post-surgical units as well as the occasional special assignment that may include procedural areas. Assesses or manages the care of patients, or provides direct patient care. Flex HealthPlex departments in a variety of settings that include intermediate care and med/surg. Assessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions.
Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current practice standards, rules, regulations and policy Evaluation and Discharge - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions Professional Practice Qualifications Qualifications Must be able to float between all the units of two of the approved pods.
Approved pods include: Medical Surgical Observation (Med/Surg), Ortho, Surgical, Medical/Oncology, Intermediate Care- IMC and PCCU. Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Experience RN experience as follows: Med/Surg Pod - 1 year experience in an equivalent area.
IMC Pod 1 year IMC or equivalent experience. Experience to include sufficient orientation to and demonstrated annual competencies for: Basic & Advanced Hemodynamics, Pacemaker. Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.
Med/Surg Pod - Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Intermediate Care- in addition to current Oklahoma RN license, BLS, and NIHSS, must also have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic EKG interpretation certified within 6 months of hire. All required certifications BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
