You’ll need
Licensure
✓o Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
Certifications
✓o Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start
✓o Specialty certification (as required by the unit) within one year of hire.
✓o Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within the first 90 days of employment
Education
✓BSN from an accredited school of nursing OR Associate Degree RNs that are within one year of completing their BSN.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Qualifications
✓At least one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
✓o Proficient in English, strong verbal, and written communication skills
✓o Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others
✓o Values team collaboration
✓o Proficient computer skills required
Minimum of two years of labor and delivery experience preferred
Experience as a Charge RN preferred
