Licensure

✓License and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State, and

✓3 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorders.

✓Substitution: Bachelor’s degree in nursing can substitute for 1 year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience

✓and a master’s degree in nursing can substitute for 2 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.

✓Candidates from within State Service may be considered for hire if they have two (2) years of experience as any Grade 18 or higher position that requires a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.

About the role

Duties Description Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center, Children and Youth is recruiting a Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric to supervise registered nurses and direct care. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As Registered Nurse Supervisor 1 Psychiatric, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned nursing and direct care staff including:
Directing and reviewing the work of nursing staff
Preparing and monitoring staffing schedules
Developing daily staffing plans for nursing care
Ensuring compliance with established standards of nursing care in accordance with State, federal, and accreditation agency requirements
