Licensure
✓Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.

Qualifications
✓Nurses working on the Surgical Acute Care unit pride themselves on providing outstanding care. We coordinate independent care to patients within a clinical specialty as a fully effective participative member of multidisciplinary patient care service team.
✓continuous cardiac monitoring
✓continuous oxygen saturations
✓drain management
✓wound management
✓Patients are admitted following surgical procedures via intra-hospital transfer from:
✓Direct admissions through Express Care/Critical Care Resuscitation Unit (CCRU).
✓The Surgical Acute Care unit serves as the primary postoperative designation for the following specialty surgical services, including but not limiting to:
✓Surgical Oncology
✓Gynecology Neoplasia
✓Acute Care Emergency Surgery
✓General Surgery
✓Oral Maxillary Facial
✓Plastic Surgery

✓Competent evaluation with successful passing of probation; current on all mandatory classes/training.
