No Routine. No Limits. Some units specialize in one thing.

STICU specializes in whatever comes through the door. As a Level II Trauma Center, the Surgical Trauma Cardiovascular ICU at Deaconess Midtown cares for some of the hospital's most complex and critically ill patients. From traumatic injuries and emergency surgeries to open heart recoveries, vascular procedures, neurosurgical cases, and advanced medical ICU patients, this unit is built for nurses who thrive in a fast-moving environment.

STICU nurses care for adult and pediatric trauma patients while gaining experience with advanced therapies such as ECMO, CRRT, bedside dialysis, and complex hemodynamic monitoring. Every shift brings new challenges, requiring critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork at the highest level. This isn't a unit where you'll do the same thing every day.

It's a place where you'll constantly be challenged, trusted, and empowered to make a difference when patients need it most. If you're looking for an ICU that keeps you on your toes and at the forefront of critical care, STICU is waiting for you. Requirements Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license
