Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital Charlottesville, VA ICU EXPERIENCED REGISTERED NURSE Temporary - 14 WEEKS Full time ICU 7P - 7A $75/hr REQUIREMENTS MUST have AT LEAST 2 yrs of RECENT bedside RN experience in general ICU - required IF floated to IMCU must be able to efficiently and safely handle pt ratio of 1:4-6 REQUIRED: Experience in use of vasopressors (levophed, phenylephrine, vasopressin, dopamine) as well as sedation meds like fentanyl, propofol, and precedex.
Insulin drips are also common. Experience with TNK, strokes, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, sepsis, CRRT, general surgeries, DKA, SI , ETOH. and, STEMIs.
RB Degree: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN CERTIFICATIONS and or
RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia ACLS, BLS, NIHSS REQUIRED EPIC USER REQUIRED The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
