About the role
Provides prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals as needed for adequate patient care according to professional standards and practices. Calculates adult and/or pediatric dosages, IV administration, and interprets lab values and other diagnostic tests in evaluating dosages and drug therapy regimens. Advises/consults with patients and families, and medical and nursing staff.
