✓Possession of an active license to practice as a professional nurse (RN) in the State of Hawai’i
Certifications
✓SELECT CERTIFICATION: Of the six (6) months professional nursing experience required, six (6) months of professional nursing experience must have been in emergency services.
✓Possession of current certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) for Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Workers, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required at the time of appointment.
✓NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
✓Applicable checks may include, but are not limited to, state and federal criminal history records, child abuse and neglect registry check, adult protective services registry and sex offender registry records, etc. If a job offer is made or employment is begun prior to completion of all applicable ch

✓SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED: Possession of a master's degree from an accredited college or university school of nursing may be substituted for one year of nursing experience.

✓Applicants must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under the federal law for unrestricted employment and at the time of appointment intend to reside in the State of Hawaii during the course of employment with the Hawaii Health Systems Co
✓VETERAN’S PREFERENCE: If you are claiming Veteran’s Preference, you must submit a copy of your DD214 and/or other substantiating documents specifying the periods of your service.
