Certifications
✓Regulatory Requirements: BLS required upon hire or before patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire, PALS/NRP preferred
Education
✓High School diploma or equivalent required.
✓Technical diploma in Respiratory Therapy is required.
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy is preferred.
Qualifications
✓Graduate for an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program
✓Strong communication skills
✓Ability to work well under pressure
✓Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including but not limited to, physicians, nurses, and other respiratory therapists
✓Assess patient needs and adjust treatment plans as necessary
✓Must be self motivated, have the ability to work independently, maintain a high level of accuracy, and have the ability to handle confidential material
2+ years hospital experience preferred
1+ years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
Experience in critical care and/ or neonatal care areas preferred
Proficiency in various respiratory therapy techniques preferred
Experience in an acute care setting preferred
