You’ll need
Certifications
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
✓One year of experience in scheduling or patient access in a hospital or clinical setting.
✓Ability to deal tactfully with employees, patients, visitors and the general public.
✓Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills required.
✓Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Proficient written and verbal English skills required.
✓Some knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with ICD9 coding.
✓Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
✓Knowledge of commercial and managed care payors and terminology.
✓Ability to work in a fast pace environment with frequent interruptions.
✓Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and works well under pressure.
✓Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Training or educational background with medical terminology and familiarity with ICD-10 coding preferred
