Located in beautiful Northern California, Adventist Health Clear Lake has been a leading healthcare provider in Lake County since 1968. We are comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital and provide primary and specialty care services at clinics throughout the area to best serve our community. Lake County is home to Clear Lake, California's largest natural freshwater lake, surrounded by charming small towns, beautiful mountains, vineyards and orchards.

Serve as the subject matter expert and acts as a resource for the release of protected health information (PHI) to ensure that patient confidentiality is protected at all times. Processes release of information requests and coordinates timely responses to requests for patient information, as required by law. Applies substantial knowledge of the job and experience to complete a wide range of activities with varying difficulty.
Works with sensitive and confidential information on a regular basis, often involving the interpretation of policies and procedures to guide use. Job
Education and Work
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related
Preferred Three years Health Information Management/Healthcare
Preferred Knowledge of Release of Information regulatory
Required Electronic Health Record and Datavant/Ciox HealthSource
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: AHIMA Release of Information Microcredential: Preferred
Validates and processes requests for release of information in accordance with hospital policies and state and federal regulations. Meets minimum required productivity standards on a consistent basis. Uses experience with interpersonal skills to successfully answer phones, greet customers and resolve requests.
Works efficiently and successfully in a high paced work environment. Utilizes organizational experience and skills to set priorities. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
