The Release of Information Specialist III role validates and processes requests for Protected Health Information in accordance with organizational policies, HIPAA, State and Federal regulations. This role serves as subject matter expert for Release of Information and trains new users. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related discipline preferred. Successful completion of a formal medical terminology course required. License/Certifications: RHIT or RHIA preferred.
Three years of experience in Release of Information in a health care setting required. Previous EPIC or EMR experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Release of Information Specialist II role.

The pay range for this position is $19.87 to $23.75 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
