Research Administrator (Tarjan Center)

✓Requirements
Education
✓Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
Master’s degree (preferred)
Experience working within the University of California system, including knowledge of UC research administration policies and procedures preferred
Qualifications
✓Minimum 3 years of experience in research administration, grant admission, contract administration, financial management, budget development, or related business operations
✓Experience supporting pre-award and post-award sponsored research activities
✓Demonstrated experience developing, monitoring, reconciling, and reporting on complex budgets
✓Knowledge of sponsored research administration principles federal grant regulations, and compliance requirements
✓Ability to interpret funding guidelines, contracts, and regulatory requirements
✓Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
✓Strong project management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
✓Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
Experience administering large federal, state, foundation, or cooperative agreement awards preferred
Experience working with CA state agencies and government-funded programs preferred
Experience developing grant proposals, funding submissions, and external partnerships with community organizations, foundations, and government agencies preferred
Experience using research and financial management systems such as UCPath, Oracle, Cayuse, ERS, or similar platforms preferred
