A Brief Overview The Research Scientist position will primarily focus on advancing the research efforts of UH Seidman Cancer Center (SCC) and of the Wesley Center. Center. This individual will have general oversight and support responsibilities for the research activities of Wesley Center research program and is expected to participate in and support Wesley Center SCC and UH in several other areas including, but not limited to the following:

• Support the academic aspects of Wesley -related programs
• Assist in the RFP and scholar selection process for Wesley programs
• Oversee grant writing and other academic/laboratory funding initiatives
• Develop and advance scientific research in advance of PI
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and engage in activities Additional

• Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education Qualifications
• Doctorate Degree including but not limited to (PhD, MD, DDS, DO or the equivalent) (Required) Experience Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in relevant research (Required)
• 10+ years experience in relevant research activities (Required) Skills and Abilities
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. (Required proficiency)
• In-depth knowledge of drug development process. (Required proficiency)
