Licensure
✓Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements governing laboratory operations, including requirements established by the OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, DEA, and applicable state authorities, required.
Certifications
✓Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment.
Education
✓Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Environmental Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Master’s Degree, preferred.

✓Extensive knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Laboratory Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1450, and Hazard Communication requirements.
✓Strong knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hazardous waste regulations, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) requirements, and environmental compliance programs.
✓Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) laboratory fire protection standards and emergency preparedness practices.
✓Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) hazardous materials transportation and shipping requirements.
✓Three years of relevant program or project support experience, required.
