Education
✓A Research Scientist candidate must have a doctoral level degree and a minimum of 6 years of postdoctoral research training at Mayo or elsewhere.
Qualifications
✓Must hold academic rank (i.e. Instructor, Assistant Professor) at Mayo at the time of accepting the Research Scientist position or achieve it immediately thereafter.
✓The candidate must bring a unique skill, technique or knowledge to the sponsoring program as documented by professional accomplishments and publication record and will have made a career decision to pursue regular employment at Mayo in support of an established research staff program.

About the role

The Research Scientist must play a key supporting role in the sponsoring research program. Will significantly contribute to grant writing and serve as co-principal investigator (if necessary) on extramural grant applications submitted by the principal investigator.
