Job Overview Ebenezer is looking for a Resident Transport Specialist to join our senior living team with the Ebenezer Coporate Office in Edina, MN! The Resident Transport Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering a consistent, safety-focused training program for community drivers who operate community bus/vans within Ebenezer settings. This role ensures that all drivers are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and professionalism required to transport residents and volunteers reliably and compassionately.
The Resident Transport Specialist will ensure best practices and trains community drivers to help maintain a high-quality transportation experience. This transport specialist schedule includes; On Call/Casual Day shift To maintain Casual status, employees must be willing to be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per month (two shifts must be weekend shifts) and one (1) Holiday shift per year. The weekend starts with the beginning of the night shift on Friday and ends with the beginning of the night shift on Sunday
Develop and implement a standardized training curriculum for new bus/van drivers, including classroom instruction and hands-on driving evaluation and practice. Educate employees on vehicle operation, safety protocols, defensive driving techniques, and emergency procedures. Conduct evaluations and ride-alongs to assess driver performance and reinforce best practices.
Maintain training records for employees that have been trained. Collaborate with sites and managers to schedule onboarding sessions. Provide refresher courses to existing staff to maintain program consistency.
