Certification in substance abuse counseling, nursing, health care management, security guard, or other related field. preferred
Education
✓High School Diploma
Associate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Behavioral Health, or a related field preferred.
Qualifications
✓Knowledge of health, safety, security, and emergency response procedures in a residential or behavioral healthcare environment.
✓Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism during crisis and emergency situations.
✓Effective leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
✓Strong verbal and written communication skills.
✓Ability to document observations, incidents, and resident activities accurately and timely.
✓Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.
✓Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
✓Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
✓Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and electronic health record systems.
✓Minimum of four (4) to five (5) years of experience working in a residential treatment, behavioral health, mental health, social services, healthcare, or similar environment required.
✓Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Community Care Licensing (CCL) background clearance.
✓Valid California Driver’s license.
✓TB clearance.
✓Driving record acceptable for coverage by Gateways insurance carrier.
Previous experience providing direct support to individuals with mental health, substance use, or behavioral health needs preferred.
Experience leading, mentoring, training, or providing work direction to staff preferred.
Experience responding to emergencies, crisis situations, and safety incidents in a residential or healthcare setting preferred.
Experience with documentation, incident reporting, and maintaining regulatory compliance standards preferred.
Scheduling, shift coordination, or supervisory experience preferred.
