Certifications
✓Certified Specialist as recognized by appropriate governing body. (governing body ex: A.N.D., CDR, A.S.P.E.N., etc.) (Certification ex: Oncology (CSO), Renal (CSR), Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), etc.)
✓OR Certified as a specialist as recognized by appropriate governing body within two (2) years of hire. (governing body ex: A.N.D., CDR, A.S.P.E.N., etc.) (Certification ex: Oncology (CSO), Renal (CSR), Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), etc.)
Education
✓Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition related subject matter
Master’s degree in nutrition subject is highly preferred.
Qualifications
✓Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
✓Specialized training with the indicated specific population.
✓Competent and efficient use of computers
✓Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
✓Demonstrated knowledge of adult/parent (and/or children as needed) education principles.
✓Good written and oral communication skills.
✓Greater than or equal to one (1) year’s experience in clinical dietetics with specialized area of expertise needed.
Greater than or equal to two (2) years’ experience in clinical dietetics with broad area of expertise. PLUS greater than or equal to two (2) years in designated specialty area of focus. preferred
Public Speaking experience preferred.
