You’ll need
Licensure
✓RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) must be obtained upon start
✓An individual licensed prior to January 1, 2018, who obtained licensure with a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential through the NBRC, is not required to obtain the RRT credential
✓RT-P: Respiratory Therapist licensed by Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO) required upon start
Certifications
✓BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
✓For Asante Ashland
✓PALS, ACLS, and NRP must be obtained within 6 months of start
✓For Asante Three Rivers Medical Center (ATRMC)
✓NRP is required upon start.
Preferred Licensure/Certifications at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC)
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or respiratory related sciences, preferred
Qualifications
✓Successful applicants should have experience specific to the posted Advanced Practitioner specialty position. Such experience should indicate that the applicant would be able to demonstrate advanced competencies after completion of orientation(s).
✓ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified from American Heart Association
✓PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor certification by the American Heart Association
✓Critical thinking skills as well as effective communication skills
✓Ability to assess the patient/situation, analyze the data, formulate a plan, and then implement the plan
✓Ability to function effectively in a team environment utilizing consistent and appropriate communication as both a team member and leader
