You’ll need
Licensure
✓State of Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required
Certifications
✓Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required.
✓For incumbents in this role prior to 7/1/21, the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will be accepted in lieu of the RRT.
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
Advanced specialty credential from the NBRC or Asthma Educator Certification(AE-C) from the National Asthma Educator Certification Board (NAECB) is preferred.
Education
✓Associate degree from a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program is required.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 1 year of experience plus the ability to show RCP II competency within 6 months of hire/transfer into role is required.
✓Critical thinking skills are required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care is preferred.
