Education
✓Completion of a bachelor’s degree or higher in a directly related field or current enrollment in Bachelor degree of Science/health care related field with at least 2 years relevant experience in respiratory care
Qualifications
✓Pass annual competency with no remediation
✓Engagement in the pursuit of excellence, i.e. committee participation, CQI and QA initiatives, abstracts, research, Daily Management System (DMS) projects, or other activities to improve the clinical and work environments
✓Demonstrate professionalism by belonging to the AARC / ISRC and pursuing education to advance one's knowledge and skills
✓Required Additional Job Qualifications to Float in a specialty area:
✓Minimum 1-year RCS experience at RUMC at time of application
✓Must pass annual competency with no more than one remediation in float area(s)
✓oAnnual Competencies requiring remediation will be tracked and assessed year-to-year
✓oPass departmental annual competencies in adult and/or neonatal-pediatric respiratory care
✓oTechnical skills are required to adapt equipment and procedures to patient needs
✓oAnalytical skills are required to evaluate patients and their clinical response to therapy
At least six months’ experience in RUMC Respiratory Care Services preferred
Above average interpersonal and communication skills preferred
