Job Summary and Qualifications The Respiratory Therapy (RT) Extern provides patient treatment within the various common modalities of respiratory care under the supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist.
Assists staff by caring for patients, in accordance with the RT Extern’s skills/training and the needs of the department, performing clerical tasks and duties as assigned. Supports and promotes quality care and customer service initiatives by demonstrating competency, knowledge/skills and adhering to HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, related policies and procedures, Code of Conduct and Mission/Value Statement. What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school obtaining degree in Respiratory Therapy and completed one semester.
