Licensure
✓Current Hawaii State license as a Respiratory Therapist.
✓Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
Certifications
✓Current certification in Basic Life Support at the Healthcare Professional Level.
Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) preferred.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
Qualifications
✓standing, walking, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, squatting, twisting body, seeing, hearing, speaking; reaching at and below shoulder level; repetitive arm/hand motions; frequent gripping of an object.
✓Frequent: reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
✓Occasional: sitting, kneeling, lifting usual weight of up to 50 pounds; pushing/pulling usual weight of up to 50 pounds.
✓Operates ventilators outside the intensive care units, a variety of equipment used to deliver treatment therapy, as well as blood gas and oxygen analyzers, syringes, computer, copier.
Prior experience in the performance of Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Tests (CPET) preferred.
