You’ll need
Licensure
✓Graduate of a two-year respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) (may be evidenced by RCP/RRT/CRT license)
✓RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner
✓RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist (not required for SRMC SEIU) OR CRT-Certified Respiratory Therapist (not required for SRMC SEIU)
Certifications
✓BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
✓NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider if required at the entity
✓ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support if required by entity
✓PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support if required by entity
Qualifications
✓2 years of recent relevant experience.
✓Knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
✓Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
✓Capable of performing routine or emergency respiratory care as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
✓Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
✓Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
✓General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), electronic health records (EHR), and EPIC.

✓Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
✓Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
✓Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
✓Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
✓Function effectively and perform this position in an emergency situation.
