You’ll need
Licensure
✓Must have current licensure in good standing to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in State(s) of Practice.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS)
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
✓If specializing in pediatric/neonatal critical care medicine must have PALS (AHA) or NRP Certification (AAP)
Education
✓Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program is required
✓Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program is required
Qualifications
✓Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

Monitor patient responses, adjustMonitor patient responses, adjust therapy as needed, manage artificial airways, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safe, effective care
Participate in emergency responseParticipate in emergency response teams, assist with internal patient transports, and maintain accurate EMR documentation
